The Farm, located on the beautiful south coast of Oregon in the Pistol River Basin, is a fully operational 2 plus acre farm . It has a variety of animals which sometimes include, goats, miniature horses, rabbits, alpaca, guinea fowl, peacock and chickens, turkey's, ducks, etc., and is ever changing in what animals there are because of births, visiting critters and sales. Amongst the chickens there are over 100 and includes over 13 varieties and some of them are as cute as can be like our Black, silver, white Silkis, polish bantams, fancy Bantams, special Japanese feather footed whites, fancy Americana, polish fancy tops and more. Also there is a variety of rabbits, some weighing over 25 pounds. The miniature horses are a delight to play with as are the goats and everyone loves to feel and pet Rosa our alpaca. There are usually babies around to be held and petted. Because it costs over $400 a month and sometimes more to care for them, the farm and animals really depend on the income from produce, egg, cheese and animal sales. Also many visitors give donations and they are very much appreciated by the animals. On occasion the farm receives animal visitors from the county (homeless animals) until they are able to find their owners or new homes and the donations really help with this. Examples of this are baby ducks and goats.
